Being overweight puts a lot of stress on your heart. You have to take care of your heart because you only have one. Their are just so many things that you can do to minimize heart disease. If you continue to be overweight you are increasing your chances of developing heart disease. This is something that is a silent killer. Heart disease is the hardening of the arteries, when this happens plaque an fat build up in the blood vessels. When the build up gets to severe a heart attack happens.
Am I at risk?
* Are you a heavy smoker?
* Do you have a lot of fat that is in your diet?
* How about your physical activity?
* Are you severely overweight?
* Are you a heavy drinker?
The good thing about this is that these are things that can be avoided. One way to get out of all of these bad habits is to start an exercise program. You just have to get into the mindset that I'm doing something that is going to save my life. Do you have a family? Don't you want to make sure you are their for them when they need you? When you start exercising you will find that you will have such a feeling of accomplishment.
Make sure that you start eating a balanced diet. You also probably should cut back on some of the meat products that you have eating. Stick with only lean meats. It may be hard for you in the beginning but stick with it. Put all of your goals down where you can see them daily. Before you know it you will be in great shape.
