Breakfast = Small bowl of Raisin Brand cereal with 2% milk and piece of fruit.
Snack = Granola Bar.
Lunch = Chicken breast with brown rice and green beans.
Snack = Banana.
Dinner = 90% lean hamburger (quarter of a pound) lettuce, tomatoes, light mayo with oven baked fries.
Snack = Raisins or nuts.
This will jump start your metabolism, especially if you have only been eating 2 or 3 large meals a day. Make sure that you drink 8 glasses of water a day. It does take some time, but this is something that you can get used too. Try to limit the amount of sugary drinks that you intake. Each meal should be no more than 300 calories.
The above example is a healthy day of eating, and as you see you can have some of your favorite foods an still be able to loose weight. Your diet is 80% of weight loss and about 20% of your workouts. That's why you need to make a conscious effort to monitor what you are eating.
If you combine a good diet like the one in the example with a good workout plan you will be well on your way to weight loss. Try to eat every 3 hours, this will keep you from over eating and also increases your metabolism.
