Working out is usually put on the back burner when it comes to staying in shape. If you are busy like most people are, their are some things that you can do during your hectic busy schedule to help you stay in shape. I hear a lot of people say that they "Don't have enough time to eat healthy." You can combat this by bringing your lunch to work, that way you have control over what you are eating. Believe it or not most people eat a lot more healthier when they are packing a lunch.
Food you could pack for lunch
* Sandwiches with lean meats.
* Fresh fruit.
* Granola bars
* Low fat frozen dinners.
* Fresh Vegetables.
* Nuts
If you have time you could take a brisk walk at your job when you take breaks. This will also help you mentally, because it breaks up the routine of your job. You should make working out part of your daily schedule. If you really want it bad enough you will be able to find the time!
Do you have a job in which you are confined to a chair all day? Their are some exercises that you can do while sitting down.
1. Bring a set of dumbbells to work, they are great for working out your arms. The great thing about this is that you can do this from a sitting position. (Just don't let the boss see you) lol
2. You could wear some ankle weights and do some leg raises from a sitting position.
These tips above work better if you have a cubicle work area! Or you just really have a great relationship with the boss!
Maybe you can start a fitness revolution at your place of work. Tell your boss all of the great benefits of active healthy workers. Who knows he might give everyone health club memberships. You never know!
