Their are many reasons that you may be overweight. Some of the reasons may be obvious and not so obvious. If you were to compile a list of the reasons that you think you are not loosing weight, you will be better at finding the real reasons why you are overweight and haven't been able to loose any weight. Go back in your life and ask yourself when did you start gaining weight and what situation in your life caused you to start gaining weight. This way you are getting to the root of the problem which caused you to start gaining weight in the first place.
You can then be able to see the problem and correct it and move on to start losing weight and living a much healthier lifestyle. Everyone goes through trials and tribulations in their life. You just have to learn how to put all of the bad things that happen in your life past you so they don't affect your mental and physical state which can cause you to gain weight very quickly. I have compiled 5 reasons that you are not loosing weight.
Divorce or relationship troubles
Lets face it, relationships are a lot of work. It's something that constantly have to work at having a good relationship with your spouse. You will never see eye to eye on everything. If you are having relationship problems it could lead to overeating and eating all the wrong foods, which can get you in trouble rather quickly. When you start bad eating habits it gets though to break them. That's why it is a good idea to try to resolve your relationship problems and not let it fester and ruin other parts of your life. If you think that your relationship is worth saving, try to set up some sort of counseling with you spouse. This could be exactly what you need! I think you should never stay in a relationship if it is effecting your mental and physical state long term in a bad way.
Drinking to much alcohol
This is something that so many people overlook. If you are a daily drinker, you need to cut your alcohol intake to no more than 2 days a week. Alcohol has no nutritional value at all, and it's nothing more than just empty calories. This id another situation in which you need to find out why are you drinking daily? An occasional drink is fine, but if you just can't function without your daily drink you probably have underlying problems going on. You would loose a lot of weight by just stop drinking alcohol daily. So ask yourself, what has caused me to start drinking so much? This way you can fix the problem so you can start loosing weight.
Job Stress
Everyone is going to have stress on their jobs. I don't care how wonderful you think your job is, you are going to get stressed out from time to time. That's why I always preach the importance of diet and exercise because it relieves the work stress. A good way to deal with work related stress is to have a cut off time from anything that is work related. If you get off at 6pm don't think about about all of the negative things that happened at your job all day! This will do nothing but cause you to overeat and gain weight. We all know someone that gets so worked up at their job that it just seems to totally consume their whole life. Life is too short! So enjoy yourself.
Financial problems
I know that a lot of people right now are going through financial hardships. Financial problems can cause you to gain a lot of eight. Try to think of progressive ways to get out of you current financial woes so they won't consume you mentally and physically. If you need to move in with someone to save money, by all means do that. I know that staying in shape or loosing weight may be the last thing on your mind. The sooner that you
put this type of problem behind you. The quicker you will be able to loose the weight and feel better about yourself.
Poor eating habits
Poor eating habits happens to be the main reason so many people are overweight. This is something that you must change if you want to start loosing weight. You can make gradual changes in your diet. Most people think that they have to give up on all of their favorites, which is not true. If you are skipping breakfast in the morning you are just slowing down your metabolism which is why you are keeping the weight on. Increase your fruits and vegetables intake because they are full of nutrients and they will help you loose weight.
Loosing weight is just as physical as it is mental. Their are changes in our lives that are unavoidable, but it's how you deal with those problems that can keep you from loosing weight.
