When choosing a diet plan you have to eat a combination of foods that you actually like to eat. So many of the diets that they have out their today fail because it forces people to eat foods that they really may not like. Now how long do you think that you would stick with a diet like that? Most likely not that long. One size fits all doesn't usually apply to dieting.
Portion control is very important!
If you have been eating large meals 2 to 3 times per day you are doing nothing bit slowing down your metabolism. The key thing that you want to do is to increase your metabolism. You can do this by eating 5 to 6 small meals throughout the day, this will greatly increase your metabolism.
Remember that just because you are eating more often doesn't mean you can eat the same portions that you were eating before. They have to be small meals! You will just end up gaining more weight than before, so don't make this big dieting mistake.
If changing your portion size is hard for you, just pre-package your food in containers
Don't skip any meals
What ever you do when you are dieting, never skip any meals. When you start skipping meals your metabolism
Limit your fast food
I know that limiting your fast food intake can be very hard for some. Most fast food these days are just loaded with empty calories and saturated fats.
Did you know that one meal at some fats food restaurants has enough calories for a full days worth of food?
This is not good, so don't make fast food a habit. If you just have to eat fast food their are many places that serve healthy choices. Eating at unhealthy fast food restaurants is one of the biggest dieting mistakes that you can make.
