Did you know that drinking water was essential to life?
Most of the time I hear the excuse that 8 glasses a day is just too much water for me to drink. It may seem like it, but if you spread it out during the course of the day it really isn't. The first thing you should do before you eat breakfast in the morning is to drink 1 large cup of water.
Not only are you hydrating your body early, you are also combating overeating which is a major problem if you are trying to loose weight.
What I also hear a lot is that water is just so plain and doesn't have any taste to it. Their are many kinds of additives that will add flavor to your water and not add all of the unnecessary contents that you don't need.
Their are many benefits of drinking water
- It keeps you hydrated
- Flushes out your system
- Keeps your skin clear
- Aids you in your weight loss
- Helps you keep the weight off
- Infrequent urination
- You may feel week
- Headaches
- Being thirsty often
- Dark colored urine
Did you know that the human body is actually made up of 70% water? Water will also help your immune system, keep you from developing kidney stones, and it also helps your digestive system.
Your activity level also dictates the amount of water that you will need. If you exercise a lot you will need to drink plenty of water and also a sports drink that will replace all of the nutrients
Try to make it a habit to drink 1 large cup of water before you eat each meal. This will make your stomach feel full, if you get into the habit of doing this you will begin to notice that you don't need to eat as much food to feel full. That's when you will begin to loose weight and reap all the benefits of drinking water has to offer.
I recommended that you drink water that has been purified or just buy bottled water. It's much more safe than faucet water, which by the way doesn't taste great anyway.
It's very inexpensive and well worth the purchase. The reason that I say this is because faucet water has been known to have small amounts of lead in it, and you don't need that in your system!
A good way of getting in the habit of drinking water is to always keep it around you. If you are on your way to work keep a case in your car. By all means limit the amount of sugary drinks like sodas, and sweet juices. They are not your friend when you are trying to loose weight.
You may not have known this but fruits and vegetables contain plenty of water, they are also a great source of fiber, minerals and vitamins. So make sure that you also add these to your diet.
