Like her or not you have to admit that she is very pro-health and very health conscious. Their has to be something done about childhood obesity which is a problem that seems to be getting worse. Why not anyone than our first lady to lead the way to fight this growing problem of childhood obesity. She is currently launching a campaign against childhood obesity. I hope that these efforts will change the way our young Americans diet, exercise and look and feel about themselves.
Did you know that 1/3 of or youth are overweight?
Some of the things that I think the should change:
1. The cafeteria food - They just need more healthier choices. They should also minimize the access to vending machines that are loaded with so many unhealthy choices.
2. Parents - More emphasis should be placed on parents cooking more healthier meals at home, which it all starts!
3. Crack down - A crack down should be made on all of these big companies hawking junk food to all of our kids.
4. Incentives - Give kids some kind of incentives to get them off the couch.
This is a very ambitious goal for Michelle Obama or anyone in that matter. Does she have what it takes? I sure hope so, but this type of action does take some time. It won't happen over night, but at least we are moving in the right direction. At least she practice what she preaches.
