It's possible to quickly loose weight in a safe manner. You just have to go about it in the right way. Say for instance that you wanted to drop 40 pounds, you would be able to safely loose 3 pounds a week in a little over 13 weeks. Keep in mind that you should be loosing no more than 3 to 5 pounds a week to be on the safe side.

* To loose weight quickly like this you will need to *
  • Drink plenty of water ( 8 glasses a day )
  • Eliminate processed sugar from your diet
  • Cut back on your meat consumption
  • Space your meals apart ( 5 to 6 small meals a day )
  • Exercise 45 minutes to 1 hour a day
  • Eliminate alcoholic beverages
Keep in mind that the best way to loose weight for the long term is to loose 1 to 2 pounds per week. Now whatever you do, only weigh yourself  once a week. Forget weighing yourself everyday because your weight will fluctuate from day to day.

The reason that I say don't weigh yourself daily is because it could cause you to easily loose focus. Now what would happen to your efforts if you found out you just gained 3 pounds? Exactly! So stay away from the scale until the end of the week. When you finally reach your goal of 40 pounds that you have dropped quickly, you still need to keep challenging yourself so will be able to keep the weight off long term.
