Tom is an expert on helping the average guy loose weight and turn your body into a fat burning machine. He has helped thousands of people loose weight by his very non-hyped approach to weight loss. Controlling your portion size is the key is you want to reach your ideal weight. This is something that you must do to switch your body from storing fat to burning fat 24/7, which will be possible when you do this.

Do your remember the good old days growing up when your mom would make you eat every single drop of food that was in your plate? Our parents intentions were good, but you can't consistently eat like this when you become an adult. One thing that you must learn is the correct portions of food that you eat at any given time.

If you are eating huge meals you are doing nothing but destroying your metabolism. When eating this way people tend to wait longer periods of time before you eat again, and your body takes longer to digest this food. Waiting more than 5 hours to eat again your body goes into starvation mode, and you start to store fat in all the wrong places like your stomach, butt, legs and arms.

Make sure that you are implementing portion control into your eating plans, because it will solve this problem in no time. Overeating was is the main cause of weight gain. Did you know that people typically eat 30% more while eating while sitting in front of the TV?

The next time you eat that next dinner meal, how about sitting at the dinner table instead of in front of the TV. You will notice that you have more control over your eating habits this way by not being distracted by the TV.

If you are not snacking in between meals, then you should start! When you snack in between meals you will not be so hungry to where you will need to overeat. This will keep your insulin levels stable and your metabolism high.

It does take sometime to get used to eating smaller portion sizes if you are used to eating big meals. The benefits are just too great not to eat this way. Have you ever tried to eat smaller portion sizes but keep failing miserably?
