We all have been their! So excited about losing weight that we get started right away. We do all the right things...... eating right, working out and getting our proper rest. The first week, everything is well. Right? The second week rolls around and you still feel good about what you are trying to accomplish. Then week three rolls around and you have seemed to loss most if not all of your motivation to continue. Does this sound like something that you have been through?
Don't feel bad because this happens to many people. You are just left wondering " what went wrong " you started off so strong but just like a wilted flower your motivation just died. What could you have done differently? Let's take a look at some things!
Did you start off with realistic goals?
When most people want to loose weight they go into it with either no goals or something that is just too unrealistic. Everyone want's to lose weight, but how much weight? In what time frame do I want to lose all of this excess weight? Saying that you want to loose 30 pounds in 2 weeks is way off basis and unrealistic! Keep your goals in reach and attainable. The most weight that you should safely lose each week should be no more that 3 pounds. Any thing over that would be unhealthy because your body needs time to adjust to it's new healthy size.
Some people actually think that losing weight just takes too much of their time and requires too much effort on their part. Their is some sacrifice, but don't you think it's worth it?
Just imagine how much better your life will be without all of the extra weight?
- Reduce or eliminate the risk of diabetes
- Lower your high blood pressure
- Greatly increase your self esteem. ( Now who wouldn't want that! )
You should have that same tenacity when it comes to losing weight.
